Mannin Cancers is the sibling Charity of Manx Breast Cancer Support Group.It was born in 2019 to raise funds to buy specialist equipment for the diagnosis and staging of Prostate Cancer. This meant that patients could have this procedure done on island saving them from the upset and trauma of having to travel to the UK to have this done. Mannin Cancers also have funded one of the Islands Spectral CT Scanners.

 

The Charity is currently building the Island’s only Cancer Support Centre at Nobles Hospital. The Mannin Cancer Help Centre is roughly based on the UKs Maggie Centre’s offering both help and support to those diagnosed and living with Cancer. The Centre due for completion in October 2025 has cost a total £2.4m. Which has been raised by fundraising events and help from Island Trusts. The Charity is run by volunteers.
